Dr. Fausta Manafa was born on the 4th of April, into the family of Mr and Mrs John Manafa from Aguleri in Anambra state Nigeria. She attended Our Lady of Lourdes Primary school, Birch Freeman High School Surulere and Igbobi College for her primary and secondary schools respectively where she obtained her secondary school certificate. She then proceeded to Augustine College of Education where she obtained the National Certificate of Education (NCE) in English Language and Christian Religious Studies in 1990. She had her first degree in Language Arts English (BA. Ed) in the prestigious University of Ilorin in 2000, and in the same University she obtained her Masters in Sociology of education in 2010. She later proceeded to University of Lagos where she obtained her doctoral degree in Sociology of Education in 2015. She worked in schools/ University of Lagos in various capacities as teacher, head teacher, principal and lecturer assistant. In 2017, she became an academic staff of National Open University of Nigeria Abuja. She is a member of some professional bodies and also authored several journals.
