I  Dr Fidel Onjefu Okopi born on 15th July 1958 in Aokwu Ugboju of Otukpo LGA in Benue State of Nigeria. I obtained my Primary School Certificate in 1971, Teachers’ Grade 11 Certificate in 1976, Nigerian Certificate in Education 1981 in physical and Health Education, First Degree in 1984 in physical and Health Education, Master Degree in 1991 in Guidance and Counselling and PhD  in 1999 in Sport Psychology, PGD in 2006 and Master in Distance Education in 2008. My first appointment was with Kashim Ibrahim College of Education Maiduguri  as a lecturer  from 1984 to 2003 where  I rose to the position of a chief lecturer before joining the services of National Open University in 2003. I am currently an Associate Profession in Counselling Psychology   and Principal Research Fellow in Regional Training and Research in Open and Distance Learning. Acting Director, Learner Support Services from 2012 to March 2014 and Directors, NOUN McCarthy Centre Lagos from 2014 to 2015
