Dr Ahmed Amin Njidda is an Associate Professor of Animal Science (Nutrition and Biochemistry). He is a Registered Animal Scientist (RAS 0172) of Nigerian Institute of Animal Science (NIAS), a member of Animal Science Association of Nigeria (ASAN), Nigerian Society for Animal Production (NSAP) and Agricultural Society of Nigeria (ASN). Dr A. A. Njidda is seasoned lecturer with the Department of Animal Science and Fisheries, Faculty of Agriculture, National Open University of Nigeria. He obtained his B.Sc. degree (Animal Science) in 1995, M.Sc. (Animal Production and Management) in 2002 (University of Maiduguri) and PhD (Animal Nutrition and Biochemistry) in 2011 from Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Nigeria. He did his research work on Sheep nutrition during B.Sc. and M.Sc. and on goat and Forages during PhD under the able guidance of Late Professor Abubakar Kibon and Professor Imounu Ikhimioya respectively.
Dr. Njidda has been teaching and conducting research in areas of Animal Nutrition, Production and Management, Nutrition/Reproductive Physiology interaction research and Biotechnology and has supervised several undergraduate and postgraduate students. Dr. Njidda has published over 106 research articles in both National and International Journals and Conference Proceedings. He’s also a livestock consultant and a visiting lecturer to some Universities.
